Love's Amnesia

love's amnesia

I'm gonna go and make some new memories
to replace the vacancy of you and me
and get back to the place I wanna be
rise above your pain for all to see
never again to bring me to my knees
put out this flame and I am free
to live and love the way I please

Hello Mary Elizabeth! One of the challenges in healing is getting back out there and not avoiding doing the things or going to the places we used to go as a couple. This is what inspired my poem.
